It's hard to live in a world of Big Feet when you are the only one with small feet! Help Snowflower find her Granny and to tell the tale of Fairyfoot.  A spectacular, interactive outdoor promenade performance. Incorporating dance, storytelling, music and singing in the beautiful Drumboe Woods. An experience for all ages.

Directed and choreographed by Tanya Ward (Aislingí Dance Academy) in association with Fidget Feet Aerial Dance Company. Book by playwright Shirley-Anne Bonner, based on the story by Frances Browne.  Support by The Arts Council and Creative Ireland.

This special event involves a cast of local children and amateurs as well as professional artists.

Due to the outdoor nature of this event please dress warmly and for the rain. This is not a seated event and involves the audience walking around the Blue Loop walking route in Drumboe Woods. Audience members may bring light portable camping stools or chairs for longer sections of the performance.

MEETING POINT : Assemble at car park on the right on entering Drumboe Woods from the Drumboe Avenue entrance (just after St Columba's College). Parking at St. Columba's College.

NOTE: All children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at this event.

Bring your voices and imaginations. We invite children and grown-ups to dress up as fairies, elves or Forest Creatures.

About Tanya Ward

Tanya Ward is a Donegal based dancer & choreographer, trained in ballet, contemporary and modern dance. Tanya established Aishlingí Academy in 2003 and it was the 1st performing arts company in Donegal, offering classes in dance, drama, music and art, helping to develop and nurture more than 20 of its students into working artistic professionals, participating musicals, national televised events, and performances for dignitaries

Fidget Feet are an aerial circus performance company. Co-founded by local Chantal Mc Cormick, Fidget Feet have pioneered aerial dance in Ireland and enjoy international reach in an astonishing range of venues. Fidget Feet are delighted to help bring Frances Browne's stories to new audiences and to mentor developing aerial dance artists in the North West.

Abour Shirley-Anne Bonner

Shirley-Anne Bonner is a PhD candidate at the University of Galway, where she is developing theatre practices to recover the legacies of marginalised Irish women writers.
