Granny's Wonderful Chair in Cyberspace : A wikipedia workshop
€10 - booking essential
In this workshop with Professor Thomas McLean you'll learn more about Wikipedia, how it works and how you can interact with it. In this hands on workshop attendees will use Frances Browne's most famous work 'Granny's Wonderful Chair' to get hands on with Wikipedia.
No previous experience needed.
Help us create a Wikipedia page for Frances Browne’s masterpiece, Granny’s Wonderful Chair! This beloved book of fairy tales contains seven separate stories. Participants will be invited to write a short summary in advance on one of the stories, which will then be edited and uploaded to Wikipedia during the workshop.
If you would prefer not to write a summary, you are still very welcome to join us and learn the basics of creating a Wikipedia page, as well as adding words, images and citations to existing Wikipedia pages.
