This special tour offers the chance to walk the same streets where Frances was born and raised, exploring the landscape that shaped and inspired her later works.

This reflective and memorable tour is a wonderful way to connect with the life and legacy of Donegal’s most celebrated literary figure. Starting at Kee’s Hotel, the route will take in key sites including:

  • The Pound Historical Park, where Frances is commemorated with a bronze statue and an inscription from Songs of Our Land

  • Streets of Stranorlar, connected with her formative years

  • The Church of Ireland Graveyard, final resting place of her parents and siblings

Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable walking shoes.
